The Orcios best represent the combination of tradition and taste that we offer. The hand-written signature of which our logo consists captures our brand identity. Its roots are deep in our family’s history: it lies at the bottom of a 60 year old love letter from nonno Angelino to nonna Isabella. The Olio Angelino olive oil,made from this particular variety is a product rich in poliphenols., molecules that arise in the plant’s metabolic processes capable of counteracting our body’s oxidation processes. Scientific research and analysis has observed thatoleocanthal (an element contained in polyphenols) is surprisingly effective in preventing cancer and coronary artery disease. The presence of this particular element can be noticed in the balanced spiciness and bitterness, which is typical of Coratina olive oil. The organic aspect of Olio Angelino depends on a meticulous approach to every step of production.

PRODUCTION PROCESS OF OUR ORGANIC EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL 500 ml – ORCIO IN APUGLIESE CERAMICS

Monitoring starts from the harvesting stage, during which the olives are promptly collected from the nets, in which they would ferment if left for a long time; up to the cold extraction stage (to avoid reaching temperatures that would alter the flavor and nutritional qualities of the product), without any chemical treatment. When the growing cycle of our olive trees is interrupted (in the time span between February and April) they are regularly trimmed. Each step of the production process is subjected to the strict control of ICEA, who certifies the product as 100% organic.
