The Macirella Angelo farm was born in a small characteristic village in the upper Murgia, Minervino Murge
In this land, which prides itself on a strong agricultural vocation, an ancient culture of extra virgin olive oil is preserved. The surrounding area, called “pedemurgiana,” coincides with the last steps of the Bari Murgia. An ideal microclimate for olive growing develops here.
The unique positioning of our land, slightly lower than the Alta Murgia, gives our oil a unique flavor, characterized by notes of fresh grass and almond. The Monocultivar Coratina is an oil known for its richness and intensity of flavor, performing best with medium to robust dishes.

Where Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is Born
Processing takes place at the Gimagri Oil Mill, a facility owned by the our family. The machinery employed constitutes a modern continuous-line oil mill, equipped with a heat exchanger and temperature-controlled kneaders. Processing without vegetation water (two-phase) results in an oil richer in polyphenols. The obtained oil is stored in stainless steel tanks under a nitrogen blanket, keeping it unaltered and safe from oxidation risks. This type of processing choice, at the expense of the quantity produced, improves the final quality of the extra virgin olive oil.
